UNFORTUNATELY, YOU CAN ALWAYS PAY MORE FOR LESS.

GARAGES & RVIn general, New garages and RV Parking will require as a minimum Architectural Design, and truss calculations.  Other costs can include Fire Sprinkler Design (if required), and Engineering if the walls are greater than 10'-0".

NEW HOMES

In general, New homes will require soils investigations, Architectural Design, Energy Calculations, Fire Sprinkler Design, and truss calculations.  If the home meets conventional requirements engineering costs will NOT BE REQUIRED.   

The following is an overview, please scroll down as needed.  Your actual cost swill vary, but there are many costs that you can take to keep the overall costs of the design phase less expensive.

ADUs & ADDITIONsIn general, ADUs and Additions will require Architectural Design, Energy Calculations, and truss calculations.  Other costs can include Fire Sprinkler Design (if over 500 or      600 s.f.), and Engineering if the structure does not meet conventional requirements.

NEW HOME DESIGN COSTS

Soils Testing:   $2000 to $3000  (possibly more, work done by geo-technical firms)

Architectural Design and Construction Drawings:  TO BE QUOTED

Sprinkler Design:  $300 to $500  (cost based on square footage and complexity, by others)
Engineering:  $4000 to $8000  (cost based on square footage and complexity, by others)

Title 24-Energy Calculations:  $200 to $400 (cost based on square footage, by others)

Costs May look like this: (Conventional Home)

$2000 (soils)- Design of 2000 s.f. Residence ($5500)- T-24 ($250)- Sprinkler Design ($300) = $7050
We coordinate all work by others if desired.

GARAGES and RV BUILDINGS

Costs May look like this: (conventional Home)
Design of Garage ($1900) = $1900   Minimal Cost   (Soils, sprinkler design, and engineering are not included.)

Accessory Dwelling Units:  (Garage conversion)

Design of ADU  ($3500 PLUS)-  T-24 ($300) = $3800
